New Century & Western Freightlines Go Under. New Jobs?
Recent news and financial reports have released information that New Century Transportation has filed for Bankruptcy. New Century is also connected to Western Feightways which filled for bankruptcy at the same time. When transportation companies go down like these, there are truck drivers left without a job. In this case there are about 1,500+ drivers without a job or loads to run.
The best advice is to find a job quickly so that no time goes on without driving. DAC and trucking companies don't like seeing gaps in work history without driving. If gaps are big with unemployment then the CDL Driver may need to go through special training AGAIN before getting the job for experienced drivers.
Some larger companies have Sign on Bonuses and quick hiring rates to get you back on the road, and sometimes with a better trucking job than before.
One suggestion is C.R. England. They have better opportunities for experienced drivers. There are local HOME DAILY routes in California, Illinois, Kansas, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey... There are also Dedicated lanes that they have across the USA that have weekly home time and different types of pay. Then C.R. England has team positions and trainer positions that get you more miles and better pay. If you are interested in driving for C.R. England....>>>CLick Here to Learn More >>>
